Miami Regional Airport Introduces New Logo, Plans New Website

Miami Regional Airport is proud to introduce a new logo that thoughtfully captures the airport’s deep roots in aviation history, its connection to the community, and its continued commitment to serving pilots and passengers across the region.

The newly unveiled design prominently features a World War II–era training aircraft, honoring the airport’s origins as a military training field during WWII. During the war, the airport was home to the Number 3 British Flying School, where British cadets trained in the North American AT-6 Texan advanced trainer. The aircraft depicted in the logo reflects this significant chapter in the airport’s history and recognizes the international partnership that brought Royal Air Force trainees to Miami as part of the Allied war effort.

Beneath the aircraft sits a detailed outline of the State of Oklahoma, with a star marking Miami’s geographic location. The inclusion of the state outline and star serves both a practical and symbolic purpose — helping pilots quickly identify the airport’s position in northeast Oklahoma while reinforcing Miami Regional Airport’s role as a regional gateway.

Encircling the design are nine feathers, representing the nine tribal nations located in Miami, Oklahoma. This element pays tribute to the rich Native American heritage that defines the community and continues to shape the region’s culture and identity.

The bold “MIAMI” lettering reflects strength and forward momentum, while the clean lines and modern layout signal the airport’s focus on the future.

The new logo will begin appearing immediately across airport signage, digital platforms, official documents, and promotional materials.

While the look is new, Miami Regional Airport’s mission remains unchanged: to provide safe, reliable, and welcoming aviation services while supporting economic growth throughout northeast Oklahoma.

In addition to the new logo, the airport is currently planning a redesigned website and a comprehensive event strategy aimed at increasing community engagement and aviation outreach. Both initiatives are slated for release in mid-2026 and will further position Miami Regional Airport as a vibrant regional asset and gathering place.
